Waskowitz Environmental Leadership School – Day 3

Challenge Day is a day to test the resolve of teamwork under demanding conditions. Over the last several days, the student crew has been provided the skills to navigate the boat and manage the science station and galley. Today they needed to rely on one another in order to get the boat back to the home port. Deploying Niskin bottles, feeding the crew, line handling, raising sails, and tacking while reading the wind and the water took on new meaning.
