Schmitz Park Elementary (trip #1) Day 2

Trip Day: Day 2

Location: James Island

Name(s): Schmitz Park elementary

School/Grade: 5th

The second day of the groups research expedition took them around the inner San Juan islands from Jones island to their eventual moorage at James island that evening.  Students had a chance to get a look at the underwater creatures they have been studying by spending some time on microscopes.  They are also honing their sailing skills in order to be able to safely take control of the vessel and sail her back to Anacortes tomorrow on their challenge day!
