Schmitz Park Elementary (trip #1) Day 1

With a little bit of wind in their hair and a bit of rain on their foul weather raingear students from Mr. Katz’s class set out from Anacortes and traced a course across the San Juan islands all the way to Jones island.  Word has it that there were harbor porpoises spotted en route as well as other wildlife elaborated on in the attached “afternoon report.”  Students grilled out for dinner after a long day of science and sailing activities onboard the s/v Carlyn.  Their evening was filled with funny games, campfires and stories.
