Please share some interesting stories about today…

No one wanted to clean the heads (toilets) until the captain said that it took the least amount of time.

Any favorite wildlife sightings, quotes, games to share?

The water group caught a jellyfish in their zooplankton net. Some people even saw a bird catch a fish. We told some funny jokes and challenging riddles! One riddle was a man was in a plane and jumped off the plane and survived how could that be? Answer- the plane had never lifted off. When we learned a rhythm game called big booty and when we set sail everyone started singing it so the captain would dance.

Describe the anchorage or moorage where Carlyn is right now:

Carlyn is on four winds dock on Orcas Island right now. Orcas Island has a lodge and the mountain is pretty steep near the bottom. One cool thing is it has flushing toilets!

Today’s weather…

In the morning it was cloudy and then in the afternoon a little sun came out. We got a good enough amount of wind so the boat could sail on its own for about an hour.

Describe highlights from today’s science and sailing watches:

Some people in the wind group had to climb up the main mast to set it right. Also we got to do cool science tests where we caught zooplankton.

Any questions, concerns, or expectations for tomorrow?

We predict that the wind group will not clean the heads cause it is the dirtiest job.
