The students met the staff at Elliot Bay marina and prepared for the day.

The students students sailed away on a cool breeze that took them across the main basin of Puget Sound towards Blake Island. They got familiar with raising sails and at one point had the main sail, the mizzen sail and the jib sail up at the same time.
