The S/V Carlyn is anchored just off Jones Island, in the shadow of Orcas Island. Students will be visiting and touring the University of Washington’s Friday Harbor Labs tomorrow afternoon, meeting with researchers and engaging in a dive demo with one of the research divers. Exposing students to careers in marine and maritime science is one of our passions – and we hope your students are awed and inspired!
Though tonight, they’ll be dreaming of plankton and ocean acidification and raising the sheet and jib and mainsail…
