Peak to Peak Academy – Day 3

Trip Day: Day 3

Location: Odlin Park, Lopez Island

Name(s): Student crew

School/Grade: 7th

The student crew woke up on Jones Island this morning to still and cool weather which is typical for spring in the northwest, but special when you peek out from your tent in the San Juan Islands. The weather later gave way to more sun and warmer temperatures … a perfect day for sailing and science.

there are a few photos from the day which captured some of the activities including learning how to read and use charts and using some science equipment.

The boat made an early trip to Friday Harbor on San Juan Island and ventured up into East Sound of Orcas Island later in the day.
They eventually ended up at Odlin Park on the north end of Lopez Island.
