Open Window School – Day 4

Trip Day: Day 4

Location: Spencer Spit

Name(s): Open Window School

School/Grade: 6th

It turned out to be an awesome day for sailing and the student crews got to practice their skills during the long day on the water.
The morning started with some discussions and presentations of the data they have recorded so far. Afterwards there was even some time for some additional ‘Dock Biology’ to add from the previous day.

The journey today ended on Spencer Spit, which is favorite spot of the crew.
The National Weather Service marine forecast is calling for showers likely in the morning with partial clearing in the afternoon. The winds will keep the air chilly and sails full tomorrow as the crews (students) make their way back to Anacortes.
