Odyssey Multiage School – Day 2

Trip Day: Day 2

Location: Puget Sound

Name(s): Odyssey School

School/Grade: 7th

The morning calm and clear skies at sunrise hinted at the warm weather that was anticipated for the day. The forecast was for quiet waters and warm weather as the crew and students talked through the plan for the day.

The students planned with the captain to set a course for the western side of Vashon Island. The light breeze made for slow going, but the students collected their data in a series of science stations along the way.

A good morning stretch after breaking down camp, and in sight of Mt Rainier is a good way to start the day.
