All is well with the students and crew of the good ship Carlyn today.
They got away from Spencer Spit early in the day and made their way through the San Juan channel on their way to state park on Jones Island which is on the western side of Orcas Island.
They sailed with some good winds during the day and tucked into Jones Island a bit early to complete their science deployments.
The students, which are divided into two Watch Groups, switched their evening roles. The Water Watch Group, which spent the night on the boat last night, will be ashore tonight.
The Wind Watch Group, ashore last night, will be on the boat tonight.
