Do you have any interesting stories about today….
One thing that happened today was we raised the sails on the Carlyn and took control of the ship. Science wise we tested the amount of Plankton at levels of P.H.
Any favorite wildlife sightings, quotes, games to share?
When we first arrived at Blake we saw a deer on the island and lots of geese. While we were on the ship we saw a seal.
Describe the anchorage or moorage where Carlyn is right now:
Here at Blake Island it is very pretty. There is a Native American big house on the shore as well as a museum.
Today’s weather:
Today’s weather was cloudy for most of the time and it rained a little bit before noon, but after that the sun decided to make an appearance. It was great weather for sailing.
Describe highlights from today’s science and sailing watches:
Highlights of today were putting up the ships sails and doing hands on science as well as learning how to use many different and interesting science materials. We are looking forward to taking full control of the Carlyn vessel.
Do you have any questions, concerns, or expectations for tomorrow?
One concern for tomorrow is the weather. We hope for the sun and wind but we are not sure if we will get it. We don’t know what to expect for tomorrow.
