Alderwood Middle School – Day 1

Students from Alderwood Middle School were on Jones Island for the first night of their 4-day expedition. One of the highlights our student scientists shared from their first day was that it is fun “learning how to put up the sails, catching jellyfish, meeting new people” and “bonding with them…away from school.” They are already learning many things about our marine environment and have captured some environmental data and early impressions in their ship’s log below.
