More than ever, your partnership makes a difference.

Whether it's individual support through financial contributions, the corporate support of your company, an in-kind product or service gift, donation of your time for one of our various volunteer opportunities, or even through planned giving your help is critical to our success. By giving your support or time to Salish Sea Expeditions, you help provide the leadership that has provided our innovative programs to over 5000 students since our first research expedition in 1997.

The current fee for our boat-based programs, including all pre and post classroom visits is $2500, or approximately $80/day/person (assuming full boat) but the actual cost exceeds twice that amount.  Strong support from individuals, foundations and corporations have helped to bridge “the gap” between the fees and the actual costs. Your generous support will provide the vital link in helping us sustain opportunities for our young scientists and sailors.

Of note, Salish Sea Expeditions has targeted specific populations that we will serve.

• Of all Sea Investigators Programs (School Year) Public Schools will represent 75% of all programs.
• In addition, Salish’s Low Income Initiative, launched in 2004 offers the Salish experience at significantly reduced tuition to schools and organizations with 50% or more of students eligible for the federal free or reduced lunch.  We are proud that we schools from these target populations represent 25-30% of all our programs in each of the last two years.
