Salish programs were founded upon the results of two years of research, including surveys of teachers in our region.  We found teachers that identified hands on inquiry based science experiences as a true educational need; In our innovative programs, Salish educators employ Inquiry Based Learning as a key strategy in teaching science and satisfying Washington's Essential Academic Learning Requirements

Ultimately we believe that our efforts will compliment the efforts of classroom teachers to provide exceptional science education.

Salish's research equipment supports a wide range of student interests.  A  listing of sample research projects, desinged by student participants, is a testament to the quality of our innovative programs.
