Officers
Eric Laschever, M.M.A, J.D., President
Eric is a partner at Stoel Rives LLP, where he heads the Seattle Land Use Practice. He came to Stoel Rives from Preston Gates and Ellis, where as a partner he focused on environmental and land use issues. He is a graduate of the Hurricane Island Outward Bound School and National Outdoor Leadership School, Williams College Mystic Seaport Program in Maritime Studies and the University of Washington’s School of Marine Affairs.
Terese (T.C.) Richmond, J.D., Vice President
T.C.
is a partner at the law firm of Gordon Derr LLP. In February 2007, she
left the University of Washington Division of the Office of the
Attorney General where her primary practice areas were environmental
and land use. She began her legal career as a Law Clerk with the
Washington State Supreme Court. She joined the Attorney General’s
Office in 1985 and served in the Ecology Division and the Fish and
Wildlife Division. She served as a Special Assistant to
the Governor of Washington State before temporarily leaving
Washington to serve as Chief Counsel to the Arizona Department of Water
Resources and as a Deputy Director with the Tucson Active Management
Area. T.C. also served as a Senior Deputy Prosecuting Attorney in the
Transit and Water Quality Section of the King County Prosecuting
Attorney’s Office. T.C. received a B.A. in Biology from Whitman
College and a J.D. from Gonzaga University School of Law.
Tom Mueller, B.S., Secretary
Tom runs his
part time environmental consulting business called Sequana
Environmental from his residence on Bainbridge Island. He happily
retired from public service in August 2005 after spending 34 years with
the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers. For his first 5 years with the
Corps, he worked on dredges on the Mississippi River and snag boats on
Puget Sound. For the remaining 29 years, he worked in the Corps
Seattle District's regulatory program, first as a project manager and
supervisor for 15 years and then as the Branch Chief for 14 years. Tom
earned his BS degree in biological oceanography from the University of
Washington in 1971. Tom is a strong proponent of environmental
stewardship, especially in educating our youth of its importance.

Laurie Bauman Arnold
Laurie is a writer and designer of over 40 children’s interactive computer games, many of them award winning, and has written numerous episodes for children’s television programs, among them “Dragon Tales,” currently airing on PBS. She has also written and published several children’s books. Her passion for exposing children to healthy media alternatives and providing them with engaging opportunities to learn problem-solving skills has been a driving force in her career as a children’s media writer. She graduated from Antioch University with a B.A. in English.
Kimberly E. Corrigan, M.A.
Kim directs education outreach for YES! magazine, a journal of environmental sustainability and social justice. She was based in Limassol, Cyprus for six years as the International Education Director for a Dutch company overseeing schools in Eastern Europe, China, Russia and the Ukraine. Prior to that, she was the Leadership Education Coordinator for Washington State University and taught educational psychology. After Cyprus she was a senior manager at Gear.com. Kim has a BA, and Masters degree in Communications and Political Science, from Washington State University. She loves sailing, scuba diving, and connecting adults and youth with mother nature.
Katharine (Trina) F. Wellman, M.M.A., Ph.D.
Trina
is a currently a natural resource economist for Northern Economic, Inc.
that is based in Anchorage, Alaska. She previously served as a
consultant specializing in environmental and natural resource economics
as applied to marine resource management and public policy development
and implementation. She has worked for the Battelle Memorial Institute,
the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and the National Oceanic and
Atmospheric Administration in Washington D.C., and has experience as a
student, crewmember and science coordinator on both research and
sailing vessels. Trina has a Masters in Marine Affairs and a Ph.D. in
Natural Resource Economics from the University of Washington.
Thomas G. Callahan, M.M.A.
CDR
Thomas G. Callahan, NOAA (ret), M.M.A. Secretary Thomas is the founder
of Waypoint Environmental Consulting, LLC, and performs natural
resource damage assessments in response to oil and chemical spills in
the marine environment. Previously, Thomas served 24 years as a
commissioned officer with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric
Administration (NOAA) and the US Coast Guard. During this career he
served as captain of research vessels and managed federal marine
environmental protection programs. Thomas has also provided instruction
to international students from over 150 countries as an Associate
Professor of Environmental Protection at the World Maritime University
in Malmo, Sweden.
Roger Coulter, M.P.P.M.
Roger uses his
expertise in strategy, finance and operations both as the Director of
Finance for Unitus, an international microfinance non-profit, and as a
volunteer for several not-for-profit organizations. Roger excels at
analyzing and diagnosing the root causes of operational inefficiencies
and developing solutions to align business processes with the overall
mission and strategy of the organization. Roger earned his B.A. from
Brown University and his Masters of Public and Private Management from
Yale University and over the course of his career has worked at Goldman
Sachs in New York, and Amazon.com here in Seattle.

Ken Fabert, M.D.
Ken Fabert is a family practitioner physician serving as Group Health Cooperative’s clinic in Poulsbo, Washington. In medicine as well as life, Ken is committed to helping others and strongly believes in connecting youth with the natural world. He can often be seen sailing Puget Sound in his venerable Catalina 27 “Duck”. Ken graduated from Davidson College with a B.A. in German, and earned his M.D. from Wake Forest University.
John is the Director of REI Adventures & Outdoor School, the adventure travel and outdoor education division of REI, which operates 140 programs on all seven continents in 40 countries. John has held several REI leadership roles, including managing operations of the Seattle Flagship Store. He earned a Masters of Business Administration with an emphasis in marketplace strategy and business policy, from the University of Washington. In addition to his business management experience he is an accomplished sailor and is very active in yacht racing. John is a U.S. Merchant Marine Officer holding a U.S.C.G. 50GT Master License and is a certified S.T.C.W. Medical Person-in-Charge.
Scott B. Vokey, J.D.
Scott is General Counsel of Weyerhaeuser Real Estate Company. Previously he held positions in hospitality and investment companies and was a partner in Preston Gates & Ellis, a Seattle headquartered law firm. He is a graduate of Northfield Mt. Hermon School, Connecticut College and the University of Houston College of Law. Scott’s passion is sailing and he continues to explore the waters of the Pacific Northwest and other areas of the world with family, friends and fellow Salish board members.
